Looking for an authentic Greek cooking experience in Paros — one that feels personal, relaxed, and real?
This 6-day culinary and cultural journey is led by Stella, owner of Margarita Studios, welcoming guests since 1989 and sharing Greek cooking experiences since 2007. For more than 18 years, Stella has been inviting travelers into her kitchen and everyday island life — not as a formal chef, but as a local host who loves to cook, share stories, and gather people around the table.
The experience takes place at Margarita Studios, a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice property, recognized for its warm hospitality and authentic local character.
This is not a tour.
It’s a week of living like a local — through food, villages, nature, and time well spent together.
The Experience
This small-group food and wine experience in Paros is designed for food lovers who want to slow down and experience Greece from the inside.
During the week you will:
cook traditional Greek dishes using seasonal, local ingredients
shop at local markets and bakeries
taste Parian wines and Cycladic cheeses
gather wild herbs in the hills
explore villages and everyday island life
enjoy long, relaxed meals shared around the table
Stella personally leads the cooking classes and many of the experiences, sharing family recipes, local knowledge, and the simple philosophy behind Greek island cooking: good ingredients, time, and good company.
🗓️ Day-by-Day Program (5 Nights / 6 Days)
Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome Dinner
Arrive on Paros, check in, and ease into island time.
In the evening, we gather for a relaxed welcome dinner with seasonal Greek dishes and local wine — a warm introduction to Parian hospitality.
Day 2 – Garden, Naoussa & Wine-Inspired Greek Cooking
We begin with a short garden visit, discovering Greek herbs and seasonal vegetables.
Then we visit Naoussa, stopping at:
a local butcher
a traditional bakery
the harbor for coffee and a stroll
Next comes a local winery visit and wine tasting, introducing Paros’ wine traditions.
In the late afternoon, Stella leads the first hands-on Greek cooking class, followed by dinner and wine.
Day 3 – Parikia, History & Cycladic Flavors
We explore Parikia, walking through the old town and visiting Panagia Ekatontapyliani, one of Greece’s most important churches.
We then visit Arsenis, a Cycladic gourmet shop known for its local cheeses, preserves, and island specialties.
The afternoon is a Slow Island Afternoon — time for the beach, a café, shopping, or simply doing nothing at all. Evening dining is free, with local recommendations provided.
Day 4 – Wild Herbs, Lefkes & Greek Home Cooking
We head into the countryside to discover wild oregano and native herbs in the hills of Paros.
After coffee and a traditional sweet in Lefkes, we return to Ambelas for the second Greek cooking class, focused on herbs, seasonal vegetables, and classic island flavors, followed by dinner.
Day 5 – Village Life, Perivoli & Final Cooking Celebration
A day dedicated to real village life:
gentle stroll through Marpissa and Marmara
bakery treats in Marpissa
coffee in Marmara, watching everyday island life
We then visit Stella’s family perivoli (garden) — olive trees, lemon trees, seasonal produce, and stories of island life.
The final cooking class and farewell dinner closes the week with traditional Greek dishes, wine, and shared memories.
Day 6 – Farewell
One last breakfast and departures.
